Loving

Love

Go ahead, throw your self in
All of you, mind soul and spirit
He's you best friend, isn't he
Then love your best, and let it be

Don't self protect, it will do you no good
Don't even pretend, it's of no use
But pray to God, in all that you do
And dance with him, without your shoes

So go ahead, don't be half-hearted
and reap that seed that has been planted
Don't fret about the future, worry about the past
For this is the only kind of Love, that can truly last.

Eccentric

Eccentric.....or is it misfit (raised eyebrow)? As kids, there’s nothing unusual about such people. If they’re flamboyant, mothers marvel at their children's energy. If overly-reserved, fathers view them as studious. And then we grow up..........

We are all imperfect, some more noticeably than others. Guess it's up to you to decide if your perfectly imperfect.

Your Place

As a child you were seen as Faint,
As a teenager you grew to be Quaint,
But then there seemed to be a quake,
and in your twenties the world kicked you awake,

You constantly felt like a Pretender,
And your best friend was probably the Bartender,
You kept missing it by "this bit",
And ended up a misfit,
For landing in this place,
Your persona was misplaced.

Then you took a chance standing there,
Knowing that people would stare,
And embraced the person to be,
Without a worldly care,
So now dare,
With inner calm,
Take you place,
The time has come.

Words are not enough

Gosh, it's been a minute! I have been laying know and not exercising my freedom of speech. Speaking of speaking, people tend to say alot and their actions may not be as convincing. So what happens when the words seem so truthful yet the actions don't fully add up?

Your Words

Actions speak louder than words,
So I tend to believe them,
But your words mean the world,
And give us such a sense of achievement,
That like the most Naive child,
I'm wrapped in the illusion of fulfilment.

It is hard to be deceived,
If you dare not deceive yourself,
And you and I come to be revealed,
for what we are without outside help,
And what either one of us will see,
Cannot be hidden away on the shelf.

So be careful what you do,
And believe you can explain away,
Coz for a moment it might seem True,
But the feeling I might not be able to Shake,
And during periodic Review,
May realize it's time to break.

For Actions speak louder than words,
And your words are no longer enough,
I say it to you and my writing pad,
And to people who may find this as they surf,
That we'd all have to be absolutely mad,
Not to admit that actions show what we have.
